Pet of the Week: Remy the Dog is STILL up for Adoption

Pet of the Week: Remy, a 2-year-old mix has been at the Los Alamos County Animal Shelter for six months and remains available for adoption.

Because she is very shy at first meetings, Remy gets overlooked when people come to pick out a dog to take home. When a stranger walks in, Remy runs into her dog house for safety.

But she craves love, and hopes someone will take just a little time to get to know her to discover what a sweet and loving companion she will be.

Remy enjoys walks and going to the dog park. She is not a fan of small dogs or cats, but does have many big dog friends at the shelter and dog park.

For a personal introduction, call Remy’s sponsor, Pattie at 505-412-3998.

The Los Alamos County Animal Shelter, 226 East Road, (505) 662-8179, has a large selection of on-site adoptable pets and others reside off-campus in foster homes.

Visit the Friends of the Shelter website:, for information about volunteering, adopting and donating.
