SHELTER News:

Mouse (also known as Minnie) is an adorable little Chihuahua mix who was rescued from a high-kill New Mexico shelter, where she was at risk of being euthanized because of heartworm.

Friends of the Shelter couldn’t let that happen, so this sweet girl was transferred to the Los Alamos Shelter. Mouse is in foster care and receiving life-saving heartworm treatments, but she would love to find a forever home where she can get lots of snuggles and short, daily walks to enjoy the sunshine.

Shelter hours are noon to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturdays and noon to 3 p.m., Sundays.
