Pet of the Week: Kleo the Cat

Kleo is mourning the loss of her lifetime guardian. It’s hard on an 11-year-old cat to lose her forever home, and Kleo is trying to adapt to shelter life. Once her next home discovers her, Kleo will need some time to learn how to fit in with her new family. She would like a patient, quiet home in which to heal her heart and learn to warm her new guardian’s heart.

The Los Alamos Animal Shelter, 226 East Road, 505.662.8179, has a great selection of adoptable pets – see the Petfinder website for photos here. For information about volunteering, adopting and donating, and learning more about special needs animals and cats and dogs in foster care, visit
