Pet of the Week: Khalasi The Cat

SHELTER News:

Khalasi is a tabby and white female recently surrendered to the shelter for not getting along with the other cat in the household.

She can be rather dominant, so she would likely do best in a home of her own or in a home with other, mellow cats that don’t seek out her attention. She does well with adults and gentle children, but she’s not too sure yet about dogs.

Khalasi will soon be getting up-to-date on all of the vaccinations, and then she’ll be ready to go to a nice home.

The Los Alamos Animal Shelter, 226 East Road, 505.662.8179, has a great selection of adoptable pets; see the Petfinder website for photos here. For information about volunteering, adopting and donating and learning more about special needs animals and cats and dogs in foster care, visit www.lafos.org.

All adoptable pets are micro-chipped, spayed or neutered, and have up-to-date on vaccinations. Shelter hours are noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 3 p.m. Sundays.
