SHELTER News:
Hero is a 10-year-old black male cat recently surrendered with his dog buddy Wriggs when his family moved. He is very mellow and sweet and loves attention – a volunteer noted that he had a hard time standing still at his food bowl because he was so content that he was kneading bread and trying to eat at the same time.
Hero recently had to have some teeth pulled, but now his mouth is nice and clean with no more fish breath. Because he has a few less teeth, he prefers to eat wet food sometimes, but he can still eat dry food.
This lovable guy would do well in a home with cats or mellow dogs. He just wants a family full of love with a welcoming lap and a patch of sunshine to lounge in.
The Los Alamos Animal Shelter, 226 East Road, 505.662.8179, has a great selection of adoptable pets – see the Petfinder website for photos here.
