SHELTER News:

Evee is a 3-year-old spayed female cat surrendered for adoption when her home experienced some hard times.

She is good with adults and quiet older children. Evee pretty much ignores the other shelter cats. She dislikes loud noises. Evee might need some time to warm up to new people, but at the shelter, she is already enjoying gentle pets from volunteers. No dogs, please!

The Los Alamos Animal Shelter, 226 East Road, 505.662.8179, has a great selection of adoptable pets; see the Petfinder website for photos here. For information about volunteering, adopting and donating and learning more about special needs animals and cats and dogs in foster care, visit www.lafos.org.

All adoptable pets are micro-chipped, spayed or neutered, and have up-to-date on vaccinations. Shelter hours are noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 3 p.m. Sundays.
