SHELTER Report

Emperor is a lovely, mellow smoky silver tabby, a neutered male, 5.5 years old. He was adopted from the shelter in December 2010 and just surrendered because his family is leaving the country.

He is friendly and contented and would not mind if you also brought home his housemate Bubbles. You can adopt both for the price of one. Emperor is fine with the other cats in the cat room. He is also reported to be good with adults, gentle children, and gentle dogs.

The Los Alamos Animal Shelter and Friends of the Shelter would like to thank Los Alamos residents for shopping locally and adopting locally. For the month of January, any Los Alamos resident who adopts one of the animals received during 2013 will be given one chance at a raffle for a $50 gift certificate to Pet Pangea or a $50 gift certificate to Smiths.

The Los Alamos Animal Shelter, 226 East Road, 505.662.8179, has a great selection of adoptable pets – see the Petfinder website for photos at here.

For information about volunteering, adopting and donating, and learning more about special needs animals and cats and dogs in foster care, visit www.lafos.org.

All adoptable pets are micro-chipped, spayed or neutered, and up-to-date on vaccinations.

Shelter Hours: Noon-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. weekends.
