SHELTER News:

Ellie is a 3-year-old female calico tabby. The best word to describe her is ‘dainty’ – she is cute, petite and very loveable.

She is one of the current cat room greeters, and she does well with adults, gentle children and most other cats. No dogs, please! Friends of the Shelter is getting this little girl’s dental work up to date, and then she’ll be all set and ready to go to to good home.

The Los Alamos Animal Shelter, 226 East Road, 505.662.8179, has a great selection of adoptable pets; see the Petfinder website for photos here. For information about volunteering, adopting and donating and learning more about special needs animals and cats and dogs in foster care, visit www.lafos.org.

All adoptable pets are micro-chipped, spayed or neutered, and have up-to-date on vaccinations. Shelter hours are noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 3 p.m. Sundays.
