SHELTER News:
Dakota is a 3-and-a-half-year-old blonde lab/terrier mix surrendered for being just a bit more active than what her owners could handle.
She’s house-broken and crate trained. Dakota loves to run and play and would be a great addition to an active home without cats.
The Los Alamos Animal Shelter, 226 East Road, 505.662.8179, has a great selection of adoptable pets; see the Petfinder website for photos here. For information about volunteering, adopting and donating and learning more about special needs animals and cats and dogs in foster care, visit www.lafos.org.
All adoptable pets are micro-chipped, spayed or neutered, and have up-to-date on vaccinations. Shelter hours are noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 3 p.m. Sundays.
