SHELTER News:

Brindy is a beautiful brindle pit cross female who is three years old.

This fine lady is spayed, housebroken, leash trained, crate trained and knows a lot of obedience requests. She is affectionate and smart. She can be protective of her family and home, so should probably be contained when visitors arrive.

Brindy needs to be the only pet in a home without small children. This crafty girl has exhibited skills in climbing a chain link fence, so she probably shouldn’t be left alone outside for long periods of time.

The Los Alamos Animal Shelter, 226 East Road, 505.662.8179, has a great selection of adoptable pets; see the Petfinder website for photos here. All adoptable pets are micro-chipped, spayed or neutered, and have up-to-date on vaccinations.

For information about volunteering, adopting and donating and learning more about special needs animals and cats and dogs in foster care, visit www.lafos.org.

Shelter hours are noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 3 p.m. Sundays.
