SHELTER News:
Aleah has been at the shelter long enough (since November) that this is now her second time being featured as the Pet of the Week. She’s really hoping that this will finally be the time that she gets adopted.
Aleah is a 5-year-old spayed female with a soft, beautiful longhaired calico coat that’s lovely to pet. She likes to observe the cat room from her perch atop the cat tower, but she will quickly come down for attention when a friendly volunteer walks in the door.
She relishes attention from humans, but she can get easily worked up, so she might be better with older, gentle, supervised kids rather than young children. She does love crowds though – when a recent shelter orientation group was hanging out in the cat room for a while, Aleah jumped down from her perch and was the center of attention.
Aleah also is reported to do well with other respectful cats and even dogs if given a proper introduction. Aleah also sticks out the very tip of her tongue when she’s happy – it’s very cute
