Family Strengths Network will have a free preview of its new class: Zumba Kids Jr, 3-3:45 p.m. Monday Feb. 26 at Family Strengths Network, 3540 Orange St.

The class officially begins Monday, March 5 and is designed for kids ages 2.5-5 years and their parents/guardians.

Zumba® Kids, Jr classes are rockin', high-energy dance parties packed with kid friendly routines. They break down steps, add games, activities and cultural exploration elements into the class structure.

Embezzlement Charge Against Amy Woods Dismissed

An embezzlement charge in Los Alamos Magistrate Court against Amy Woods of Los Alamos has been dismissed by Fifth Judicial District Attorney Kent Wahlquist.

The dismissal, filed Friday, states that Woods has been accepted into the Pre-Prosecution Division Program (PPDP) and notes that the state may refile the charge if she fails to successfully complete the program. The case was on the docket for a status hearing and Woods did not appear in person.

Woods was charged with embezzlement of $3,500 from the Los Alamos Council on
