PEEC News:
Investigate nature through hands-on activities at the Los Alamos Nature Center at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 28. The Explora Museum of Albuquerque will share a variety of nature experiments that teach conservation principles. This event is part of Pajarito Environmental Education Center’s Summer Family Evenings program.
This Summer Family Evening is a great way to delve hands-first into nature with the Explora Museum. Conduct experiments that explore wind-powered cars, earthquake infrastructure, and much more! Summer Family Evenings would not be possible without the support of Del Norte Credit Union.
Over the course of the summer, a variety of animals and organizations will visit the nature center on Wednesday evenings. There is something for everyone. Here is a list of this year’s Summer Family Evenings schedule:
- July 5 – Gardening activities with the Santa Fe Botanical Gardens,
- July 12 – Burro packers from Paraje Atajo Guest House,
- July 19 – Animals from the New Mexico Wildlife Center, and
- July 26 – Solar Eclipse Night.
Summer Family Evenings take place at the Los Alamos Nature Center every Wednesday evening throughout June and July at 6:30 p.m. They are free for Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) members, or $5 per family for non-members. No registration is required.
