Longtime Los Alamos resident John Stanhope is the guest speaker at a Benefit for Veterans Breakfast hosted by the Jemez Springs American Legion 8 a.m. to noon (speaker 10-11 a.m.) Saturday, Sept. 28 at American Legion Post 75 (17691 Highway 4 in Jemez Springs.)
Stanhope is a WWII Vet (CMM-Chief Machinist Mate) and a Pearl Harbor survivor. He will talk about his experiences the day America was attacked at Pearl Harbor.
Breakfast is $10 a plate. Hawaiian breakfast specials in addition to huevos rancheros are on the menu. All proceeds will benefit veterans and the American Legion.
