ACRR News:

Sixteen dedicated runners and walkers appeared in pouring rain Tuesday evening to test their pace racing skills on the Original Turkey Trot course held on North Mesa and in Bayo Canyon. 

As they started the one and three mile courses, the rain ceased and pleasant running conditions prevailed. The best predictor was Nicholas Parra-Vasquas 
with a two second error on the long course. Next best predictors were Inez Ross with an adjusted error of 39 seconds on the short  course, and Rigo Chavez with a 55 second error on the long course.

Fastest female and male runners on the one mile course were Beth Davenport (11:28) and Anders Medin, (12:45). Fastest runner on the three mile course was Parra-Vasquas (24:44).

Next Tuesday’s pace race is 6 p.m. with one and three mile courses on a trail in Water Canyon in the White Rock area. The trailhead is on N.M. 4 about 2.6 miles west of the Pajarito Road/N.M. 4 junction.
