NMHS News:
Coronado Historic Site will lead two drop-in paper flower workshops 1-4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 15 and Sept. 22, for visitors to make colorful tissue paper flowers for the site’s community ofrenda, or offering, display.
Visitors can learn to make colorful tissue paper marigold flowers with instructional coordinator supervisor Jessica Coyle at Coronado Historic Site.
All flowers made in the workshop will be saved and used to decorate the community ofrenda table that will debut at the Fiesta of Cultures Oct. 19.
The community ofrenda will remain on display until Nov. 3, 2024. This drop-in workshop is included with admission of $7; free for children 16 and younger.
This hands-on activity offers visitors an opportunity to contribute to a cultural community display at the site.
