March 17, Pajarito Mountain hosts the 70th Annual Skiesta. Skiesta is a long-standing tradition at Pajarito Mountain. The very first Skiesta was held in 1948 and featured music, costumes and a 50 cent hot dog lunch. Since its very humble beginnings, Skiest has been a local favorite wacky spring event that celebrates the fun and unique mountain culture of Los Alamos and the sport of skiing and riding.
This year’s Skiesta will feature beer from six New Mexico craft breweries, a costume contest, themed skiing events, and music from the band Escape on a Horse! Learn more here.
