More than 50 people turned out to participate in the Pajarito Pickleball Club launch event Saturday at the Pinon Park Courts in White Rock. This included 10 first time players, Santa Fe Club members and out of state visitors.
The participants filled all six courts, played some great games, and raised enough new memberships to meet the club’s first financial goal – purchasing insurance to allow for offering more benefits for the Los Alamos pickleball community.
“We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you on the courts!” Pajarito Pickleball Club President Kristine Coblentz said.
The Pajarito Pickleball Club articles of incorporation have now been filed and approved by the State of New Mexico and the Pajarito Pickleball Club has been approved as a 501(c)3 organization.
The Pajarito Pickleball Club has created a board, which consists of seven positions, four officers and three members-at-large:
- Kristine Coblentz (President)
- Jodi Smith (Vice President)
- Joan Lucas (Secretary)
- Jennifer Young (Treasurer)
- Dennis Wilhoit (Member at Large)
- Barbara Yeamans (Member at Large)
- Andy Fox (Member at Large)
