Pajarito Mountain Delays Ski Area Season Opening

Pajarito Mountain News:

Due to unseasonably warm daytime temperatures and a lack of sufficient snowfall, officials at Pajarito Mountain have announced they are delaying the ski area’s opening, which was originally scheduled for Friday, Dec. 21.

The mountain will open as soon as conditions permit.

“We’ve had to make the difficult decision to delay Pajarito’s opening, but we’re confident that we can open very soon. The ski area has a great base, but we just need one more significant snowstorm to open,” Pajarito Mountain General Manager Tom Long said. “Our team is excited to kick off the ski season, and we’ll open the mountain as soon as conditions allow.”

Those who have a Power Pass can still use it to ski at resorts, including Sipapu Ski Resort near Taos, Purgatory Resort in Durango, Arizona Snowbowl in Flagstaff and Nordic Valley Ski Resort in Utah.
