Los Alamos County Parks, Recreation and Open Space Divisions have partnered up with the Parjarito Astronomers for the Dark Sky/Night program.

Anyone with an interest in star gazing and the chance to look for stars through a telescope is invited to come out tonight to Spirio Soccer Field at Overlook Park in White Rock.

• If you want to set up a telescope arrive around sunset.
• For stargazing arrive closer to nightfall
• If you arrive after dark, please use your parking lights when driving through Overlook Park.
• Bring a red light flashlight for safety
• Feel free to bring your own binoculars, telescope, or just enjoy the night sky.

Per COVID-19 restrictions, individuals vaccinated are not required to wear a mask.

This gathering is weather permitting (if it’s partly cloudy it will happen, but if it is totally overcast or there is precipitation, it most likely won’t).

Please take personal responsibility for maintaining 6-foot separation. Masks are not required for fully vaccinated individuals.
