Locals Invited To Appear In Los Alamos Television Spot With Opportunity To Win $100 Gift Card

Los Alamos County is seeking locals to appear in an upcoming advertising campaign. The promotional video will feature locals “doing” and “seeing” in and around Los Alamos and enjoying attractions.
 
This promotion will be a New Mexico True television spot, featuring important locations and attractions in and around Los Alamos. The final filming location will be Los Alamos’ iconic Ashley Pond Park, and a crowd of local participants enjoying the scenery, picnicking, or walking around the pond is needed. The shoot will take place 2-3:30 p.m. Thursday, June 9.

Mouse (also known as Minnie) is an adorable little Chihuahua mix who was rescued from a high-kill New Mexico shelter, where she was at risk of being euthanized because of heartworm.
 
Friends of the Shelter couldn’t let that happen, so this sweet girl was transferred to the Los Alamos Shelter. Mouse is in foster care and receiving life-saving heartworm treatments, but she would love to find a forever home where she can get lots of snuggles and short, daily walks to enjoy the sunshine.

SANTA FE — The Center for Contemporary Arts (CCA) has announced the appointment of Stuart Ashman as executive director, effective Aug. 8, 2016.

SANTA FE — Gov. Susana Martinez announced that New Mexico Department of Finance and Administration Cabinet Secretary Tom Clifford will retire effective May 27.
 
Secretary Clifford has served as DFA cabinet secretary since August 2011 and was unanimously confirmed twice by the New Mexico State Senate in February 2012 and in March 2015. Duffy Rodriguez, Deputy Secretary of DFA, will serve as acting Cabinet Secretary.
