Los Alamos U13 Boys U13 Tie Amarillo In Duke City Soccer Action

The LAFC Lasers U13 boys tied 2-2 Saturday, Oct. 1 in action against the Amarillo Lightning SC in Bernalillo at the State Soccer Complex. 
 
Down 2-0 at halftime, the Lasers mounted an exciting comeback, putting pressure on the Lightning defense all game with a great team effort. Stephen Boone scored with 5 minutes to play after winning the ball from the Amarillo defender inside the penalty box.

Beverly Stratton died on September 21, just shy of her 90th birthday. She lived a full and happy life, never shirking from a challenge and always embracing friendships and love.  She will be remembered particularly for her motivation to care for others.

Beverly was born and grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She attended the University of Minnesota and worked in the Physics Department where she met Bill Stratton. Upon his graduation, they married and moved to Los Alamos, sight unseen for Beverly. This became her home for the next 61 years.

Dalton is a 4-year-old Chihuahua mix recently transferred to the Los Alamos County Animal Shelter.
 
His history is unknown, but he can’t wait to make new memories with a new owner. Dalton enjoys the company of other animals (particularly little dogs) and is both house and crate trained. He is a very sweet boy with a little cherry eye, which is just a cosmetic problem that doesn’t bother him.
