The Nukes Rugby Club from Los Alamos and the United World College (UWC) Montezumas squared off last Friday evening at Sullivan Field for some rugby rumble.

The Los Alamos County’s employee-based “Green Team” will officially dedicate its new Green Team Demonstration Garden Wednesday, April 26 near the White Rock Visitor Center and Bandelier Shuttle stop on N.M. 4.
The community is invited to join them at the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m., followed by tours of the garden led by members of the Green Team. Tours will continue until 1 p.m. and include an overview of the plant and materials used.

Richard P. Cook, 91, a lifelong resident of Española, passed away peacefully at his home on April 17, 2017 surrounded by his loved ones.
Richard was born in Española, New Mexico on March 25, 1926 to Windell P. Cook, a businessman and Sarah A. Acherman, a school teacher. He graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1943. After high school, he was inducted into the U.S. Navel Service in 1944. He served in the Navy in the Asiatic Pacific Arena during World War II.
