Pace Race Series Begins 41st Season

The Atomic City Road Runners Club opened its 41st pace race season Tuesday on the Canyon Rim Trail with 1, 1.5, 2, and 3 mile distances available.
 
Cecilia Rivenburgh was the top predictor at 6 seconds off her predicted time followed by David Kratzer with a 22 second differential. Jackie Marr was 33 seconds and John Ullmann recorded a 43 second difference.
 
Lexi Tepley was the top 1 mile finisher at 8:43 and Paul Elkins was the best male recording a 13:41. Linda Vance with a time of 13:44 was the top 1.5 mile finisher. Elena Sandoval came in first in the 2 mile with a 16:48 time and Reid Rivenburgh was the top male at 19:42. Ted Romero was first in the 3 mile recording a 19:51 and the top female was Nikol Strother at 20:15.
 
Next week’s run will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 8 near the junction of Main Hill Road (State Route # 502) and State Route # 4 on the road to the Sewage Treatment Plant in lower Bayo Canyon.
