Join the Los Alamos Performing Arts Center (Los Alamos Little Theatre) at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14 for a reading of the new farce “Once a Ponzi Time” by Joe Foust, which is scheduled for production in January 2016.
Auditions for the show are Sunday, Oct. 18 and Monday, Oct. 19.
The script follows a harrowing day in the life of investment advisor Harold Vanderkcamp as his unintentional Ponzi scheme unravels with hilarious consequences.
Other characters include a variety of his relatives: his inept nephew, Louie; his ventriloquist father, Gramps; and his wife Judith. The cast also includes a mega investor, Dick Wellington and his Russian trophy wife, Natasha; an S.E.C. agent, Virginia Sladmengton; and Natasha’s “cousin”, Sergey. Rounding out the cast is the martial arts champion, O’Donnell; and Ed Thompson an investor with Harold.
