On The Job In Los Alamos: Athlete Sam Zimmerly And Cmdr. Morris Working Special Olympics Booth At Farmers Market

On the job in Los Alamos is multi-sport athlete Sam Zimmerly, 19, with Police Cmdr. Oliver Morris raising money for Special Olympics Thursday at the Farmers Market. Though this year’s Torch Run was canceled due to COVID restrictions, Zimmerly and Morris wanted to keep the torch burning by selling T-shirts for $20, hats $25 and challenge coins $10. The dynamic duo helped Special Olympics raise nearly $800 this week. ‘We want to thank the community for their support of this program,’ Morris and Zimmerly said. To purchase T-shirts, hats and challenge coins to support Special Olympics, email Oliver.Morris@lacnm.us. Photo by Jenn Bartram/ladailypost.com
