On The Job In Los Alamos: At Musculoskeletal Specialists

On the job in Los Alamos manual therapy trainees work on clients recently at Musculoskeletal Specialists at 3500 Trinity Dr., Ste C5. Musculoskeletal Specialists offers trained, licensed providers and also operates as a training facility for future manual therapy and exercise practitioners. After nine months of classroom work, practice and testing, trainees work in the clinic in a supervised capacity. Manual therapy is pain free and includes soft tissue and muscle work, stretching and mobilization of joints into alignment. Treatment sessions are 75 minutes, $46 and self-pay. HSA cards cannot be accepted for trainee sessions. These treatments are meant to relieve general body aches and pain, stress, headaches and help correct postural issues. The goal with this program is to get affordable bodywork to the population previously unable to afford it. Staff at Musculoskeletal Specialists said they believe these methods of pain relief should be available to everyone.
