To all Los Alamos County Democrats,

This is the official Call for the Los Alamos County 2022 Ward Meetings and Pre-Primary Convention.

We are required by DPNM Rules to hold Ward meetings and a County Convention in even-numbered years for the purposes of electing delegates to represent Los Alamos County at the state Pre-Primary Convention. Delegates will vote for statewide and federal candidates to appear on the Primary ballot and vote for or against a DPNM Platform.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the public health orders in effect in our state, and increased access provided by virtual participation, and pursuant to DPNM Rules, we will conduct these meetings virtually and with absentee balloting.

This year, Los Alamos will elect 4 delegates from Ward A, 3 from Ward B and 5 from Ward C. All Democrats registered in Los Alamos County as of Jan. 6, 2022 are eligible and encouraged to participate. Ward meeting, convention registration, and declaration of candidacy to be a delegate will take place between Jan. 6 and Jan. 26, 2022.

Our Ward meetings will be held on Feb. 6 via Zoom, with absentee voting taking place between Feb. 6 and Feb. 14. Our Convention to certify delegates will be held Feb. 20, 2022 via Zoom.
