THOMAS ‘TOMMY’ A. LAWRENCE March 30, 1934 – Nov. 3, 2023
Thomas “Tommy” A. Lawrence, 89, after an illness passed away Nov. 3, 2023. He was born March 30, 1934, in Alton, IL, to the late Allen and Irene Lawrence. Tommy is survived by his loving children, Christopher Lawrence (Staci) and Cathy Lawrence (Richard Splawn), as well as his brother Gary Lawrence (Agnes) as well as his 5 grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nephews, neices and cousins.
Tommy served in the US Army from 1956 to 1958.
After his military service, Tommy embarked on a successful career. He initially worked at Olin in East Alton, Illinois, before relocating to Los Alamos, New Mexico. Tommy dedicated many years of hard work and dedication to Los Alamos National Laboratory, retiring in 1992.
Tommy’s passing was preceded by his beloved wife, Alice Juanita Lawrence, as well as his father Allen Lawrence, mother Irene Lawrence, sister Patty Lawrence Buckner, and brother Richard Lawrence.
No service is planned at this time. The family appreciates your support and condolences during this difficult time. His ashes will be with his wife Juanita in the beautiful mountains above Los Alamos, New Mexico this coming spring.
