SEVEDEO (GOOFY) LUJAN JR. Dec. 26, 1931 – Dec. 1, 2021

Sevedeo (Goofy) Lujan Jr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 1, 2021 at his home.

He was born in Española, New Mexico on December 26, 1931 to Sevedeo and Ascension Lujan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Noe, Tony, Benny, Felix, Toby W. Lujan and his sisters, Martha Lujan and Cordelia Long.

Goofy is survived by his wife Jackie, daughter Vicky (John), stepsons Greg and Travis Horn, brother Toby J. Lujan, sisters-in-law Patty and Rose Lujan. Also many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Sevedeo (Goofy) served his country in the Marine Corps. He fought in the Korean War, was injured and received a Purple Heart and medals.

He went to work for the U.S. Postal Service and was employed for 35 years at the Los Alamos Post Office.

Goofy loved sports and was an avid athlete. During high school, he played football, basketball and baseball for the Española Hornets. He and his mother, Ascension, were dedicated fans of the Dallas Cowboys and loved to watch the games together. For many years Goofy played golf and bowled.

Goofy was known and loved by many. He was a kind and giving man.

Interment will be at the SF National Cemetery at 3 p.m. Dec. 27.
