SARA M. CREAMER Oct. 15, 1939 – Feb. 20, 2021

Sara M. Creamer, passed away peacefully in her home in White Rock, NM Saturday Feb. 20, 2021 after a long illness, her loving children surrounding her. She was 81 years old and a resident of White Rock since 1976.

Sara was born Oct. 15, 1939 in Dayton, Ohio. In 1968, she married the love of her life, Laurence (Larry) Creamer, and together they relocated to Los Alamos, NM where they remained and happily raised a loving family.

Sara served in many different positions in her life, she was an Administrative Assistant, a wife, a mother, and most importantly, a dedicated grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending her time caring for her grandchildren and knitting; donating more than 400+ bears to the Mother Bear Project. Sara was a vibrant woman, a dearly compassionate and loving mother, and was the best Nana her grandchildren could have asked for. All of her family and friends that had the pleasure of knowing her will forever miss her. 

Sara is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert J. Sommers and Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Sommers and her husband Laurence (Larry) Creamer.

She is survived by her son and daughter, David Creamer of White Rock, Joan (husband Jeremy) vonHarders of White Rock. Her brothers and sister, Joseph (wife Angel) Sommers of Washington DC, Marian (husband Jospeh) Roeser of Bluffton, SC, Robert (wife Cindy) Sommers of Beavercreek, OH. Her Uncle Mark (wife Sue) Daly of North Carolina. Her three granddaughters, Kayla Dick, Emilie and Hanna vonHarders and her four great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Cooper, Amaya and Braelynn.

Services will be held March 4, 2021 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Los Alamos, NM. A rosary will be held at 10 a.m. followed by funeral mass at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, Sara would like donations made in her name to Immaculate Heart of Mary Christian Concerns Committee or the Mother Bear Project (motherbearproject.org).
