Obituary: Richard Scott Fisher Jan. 21, 1969 – Oct. 13, 2019

RICHARD SCOTT FISHER Jan. 21, 1969 – Oct. 13, 2019

Richard Scott Fisher, 50, died unexpectedly on Oct. 13, 2019.

Richard is survived by his parents Cindi Robertson and Stanley Fisher; his brother Raymond Fisher; and his grandfather Richard Robertson. He is predeceased by his grandmother, Carol Robertson.

Richard was born in Los Alamos on Jan. 21, 1969 to Cindi and Stanley and went to school in Pojoaque and Los Alamos. He worked for a short time at McDonald’s and at a local gas station. As a young person, he hiked with his brother in the canyons of Los Alamos, and he partied with his friends near the Totavi and in the Jemez. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, listened to heavy metal rock music, and collected pins and cassette tapes.

Sometimes people would be impatient with Richard—he was intellectually disabled. Regardless, Richard was kind and said “Hello!” to everyone he met. Before his death, he was studying to take the driving test, and he lived with and cared for his mother.

Richard’s close family will have a private memorial in Los Alamos.
