Peggy Ann Santistevan passed away peacefully at the age of 76 on Saturday, October 21, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Peggy, affectionately known as Ammi by her grandchildren, is survived by her daughter, Lena (Miles), sons Rey (Dee) and Ernesto (Carolee), her four grandchildren, Abigail, Madeline, Miles Scott and Isabella. Her siblings, Diana Santistevan and Michael Santistevan as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Peggy retired to Phoenix, Arizona, where she enjoyed watching her 3 oldest grandchildren grow up. Peggy loved sewing, knitting, researching her family’s genealogy and attending Spring Training baseball games. Her death has left a hole in the hearts of her family that will forever be present.
A memorial service will take place on Nov. 25, 2023 in Los Alamos, New Mexico at the Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM) Catholic Church starting at 10:30 a.m., followed by a mass at 11:00, interment at Guaje Pines cemetery and a reception scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at the IHM Fellowship Hall. The church is located at 3700 Canyon Road and the cemetery at 901 Range Road; both in Los Alamos.
Reception to follow back at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
