PATRICIA E. BOYER June 2, 1955 – Aug. 1, 2022
Patricia E. Boyer passed away Aug. 1.
She is survived by two sons, Jeremiah and Jason, grandson Quinn, mother Norma Ellingwood, and four brothers, Robert Jr., Edward, Scott, and Brian Ellingwood.
She was born June 2, 1955 in Upland CA., grew up in Southern California, Las Vegas, Nevada, and the Finger Lakes area in Upstate New York.
She left New York in 1996 for Santa Cruz, CA graduating from University of California, Santa Cruz in 2000 with a Bachelor’s in Psychology, 2001 from Harvard with a Master’s in Education, and 2007 from University of New Mexico with a Doctorate in Education.
She worked at University of New Mexico, Los Alamos from 2001 to January 2013. She retired early on disability with Alzheimer’s.
With traveling being her passion, she and her partner, Kevin Anderson, traveled to many countries around the world, then around the States until in 2020 it became too difficult for her to travel. Aug. 1, 2022 she passed away with Kevin and her sons by her side.
She was loved by all who knew her.
Services for Patricia Boyer will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022 at the Unitarian CHurch of Los Alamos at 1738 N. Sage Loop St.
