NORMA DALTON ADAMS Feb. 19, 1929 – Jan. 19, 2016

Norma Dalton Adams, 86, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016 at home with family and loved ones.

Born Feb. 19, 1929 in Rockville, Utah to Leonard and Edna Angell Dalton, the fifth child of six. During the depression she learned frugality, practicality and service. At age 12, she was sent alone to Leeds, UTah to help care for her aging Grandma Beckie Angell. Those six years with Gma Beckie were special.

At 17, she moved to Reno, Nev. to help with her expectant oldest sister’s children. In Reno she met the love of her life, Warren Howard Adams. They were married Dec. 31, 1947 in Reno. They were blessed with four children: David (born in Reno), Aimee, Kurt and Becky born in Richland, WA. All raised in Los Alamos, NM since 1958.

She loved to make and share fresh-baked bread with everyone simply because she loved everyone! She loved gardening, preserving, sewing and insisting her children learn those and many other skills.

Genealogy, family history and Temple work was a passion. She dedicated her life to serving in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. With a great love for the Savior she tried to implement His teachings into her life. Her testimony of the restoration was strong and ever present.

Norma is survived by David (Linda), Aimee (Lee Morrison), Kurt (Holly) and Becky (Jay Gaisford); 12 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren. Her husband, grandchildren Erika & Jakob Adams and Mark Morrison, sisters Melba Mendenhall and Bunny Eager and a brother Maurice Dalton preceded her in death. She will be sorely missed but forever live on in the hearts of her family.

Service will be held Saturday, Jan. 23 at 2 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 366 Grand Canyon, White Rock. Interment to follow. Contributions can be made to humanitarian aid through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
