MARY LOUISE MARINER Sept. 25, 1927 – Dec. 22, 2017  

Mary Louise Mariner, 90, of Los Alamos, New Mexico was called home by our Lord on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Christus Saint Vincent Regional Medical Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

She was born on September 25, 1927 in Caryville, Tennessee to Eva May Hall Hunter and Charles Hunter.

Mary worked at Ethicon making sutures and retired from the Los Alamos National Laboratory where she worked as a property manager and brought the bar coding system to the Los Alamos National Laboratory. 

She was active in many organizations, serving as President of the National Property Management Association, member of the Kiwanis, Cub Scout den mother, served with the Santa Fe Opera Guild, Pajarito Acres Board, United Way Campaign and planning of the Olympic-size swimming pool in Los Alamos and East Park swimming pool in White Rock.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joe A. Mariner Sr. and her brother Maurice Hunter. Mary is survived by her sons, Joe A. Mariner, Jr. and wife Roberta, James A. Mariner and Ronald M. Mariner, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, sisters June Sutton and Norma Jean Adkins and numerous nieces and nephews. She enjoyed life and family.

A Funeral Service will be held for Mary after the new year in Tennessee, and a Memorial Service will be held in Los Alamos at a later date.
