KIM A. RODGERS (FARRELL) Dec. 14, 1965 – Oct. 12, 2021

On the night of Oct. 11, 2021, Kim Ann Rodgers Farrell could not fall asleep. Neck and shoulder pain as well as indigestion were keeping her up. Shortly after midnight she exclaimed “oh no!” jolted back in bed then became unresponsive.

EMS was notified and CPR was started by her husband. A deputy sheriff from Sandoval County responded first followed by EMTs from Sandoval County and Jemez Pueblo. Despite all efforts Kim’s heart would not beat on its own. At about 3:30 a.m. the EMT’s were instructed by the trauma center they were in communications with to stop efforts to resuscitate. At 5:25 a.m. on Oct. 12 she was pronounced deceased.

She came into the world on Dec.14, 1965 at Los Alamos Medical Center. The third and youngest daughter to Bill Jack and Gloria Rodgers. She grew up in Los Alamos attending Aspen and Mountain elementary schools, Pueblo Jr. High and graduated in the Los Alamos High School Class of 1984.

Kimmer was a kind and caring person especially with animals and the elderly, but her love for cats was unsurpassed.

Both her parents as well as her oldest sister Molly proceeded her in death.

She is survived by Devin Farrell, her adoring husband of 9 years, Sona and Courtney Herrick (sister and brother-in-law).

A brief ceremony will be held Oct. 11 at Fuller Lodge to honor Kimmer and her memory. Coffee and tea will be served 4:30-5:30 p.m., followed by words of remembrance. All who wish to honor Kimmie are welcome.
