KEITH D. CARTER Nov. 12, 1932 – Aug. 24, 2022
Keith D. Carter born Nov. 12, 1932, in Limon, Colo., to William Ralph and Myrtle Carter, resident of Redlands, Calif., and later Española, NM passed away Aug. 24, at his home in La Mesilla, NM.
Outgoing, caring, and generous he enjoyed his retirement from Los Alamos National Laboratory working as a greeter at Walmart in Española.
Always ready with a smile, a joke or just friendly banter he loved to brighten people’s days.
As a father and grandfather, Keith endowed us with a true sense of what it means to be human. Never hiding nor disregarding emotions he taught us that it was okay to laugh, to cry, to feel joy, embrace pain, and above all, show humility.
He is survived by his children David and Gretchen Carter of San Angelo, Texas; Brian and Sherry Clark of Albuquerque, NM; Belinda Tafoya of Española, NM; Nolan and Anita Carter of Los Alamos, NM; and Monica Carter of Española, NM and 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe at a later date.
