KAREN LARSON-MARINER June 6, 1954 Nov. 12, 2017

A memorial service for Karen Larson-Mariner is going to be held in Los Alamos, NM at Guaje Pines Cemetery, on June 2nd at 1:00pm. Karen returned to her heavenly home on November 12, 2017 at the age of 63. She passed peacefully surrounded by her loyal and caring family, with her firm and steadfast faith in the Lord providing comfort in her last days.

Karen was born of the late Donald and Barbara Larson of Los Alamos, NM on June 6, 1954. She lived in Los Alamos most of her life, graduating from LAHS in 1972. Karen was a lifelong learner who attended Highlands University and UNM off and on for years.

She is survived by her caring and loving children, Malinda and Ian, who stayed by her side until the end. Karen was blessed to be part of a large and loving Christian family with seven brothers and sisters: Sisters Claire and her husband John, Kathleen, Rebecca and her husband John, and her brothers Glenn, Eric and his wife Debbie, Brad and his wife Laurel, and Curt. She is also survived by her grandchild Sebastian, her Aunt Joan and Uncle Floyd, cousins, and her eight nieces and nephews and two great nieces.

Karen spent her life dedicated to the Lord and service through him. She will be remembered, as a strong prayer warrior, wonderful artist, gifted mathematician, and writer. Karen loved making delicate Christmas ornaments and crocheting blankets for her family. She is dearly missed by her family, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her creator.
