OBITUARY: John W. Taylor 1931 – July 21, 2012

JOHN W. TAYLOR, 81, a resident of Los Alamos, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2012.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita K. Taylor; parents, Waldon and Ida Taylor; sister-in-law, Martha Taylor.
 
John was employed at Los Alamos National Laboratory for 31 years. He was an active member of Trinity on the Hill Episcopal Church.
 
He was a well known and respected member of the community. He was a laboratory fellow and was a member of the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board.
 
He contributed greatly to NASA Missions, namely the Cassini Hygens. His passion was history, physics, mathematics and woodworking.
 
His endeavors were all for the good of humanity. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
 
Mr. Taylor is survived by his children, Robin LeVon and husband Paul of Salt Lake City, Utah, David Taylor and wife Donna of Midland, Texas, Kathryn Lloyd and husband Ford of Rocky Ridge, Md., and Ruth Taylor-Mireles and husband Fernando of Camarillo, Calif.; grandchildren, Jesse LeVon and fiancée, Erin and Ryan LeVon and wife Susan all of Salt Lake City, Utah, Tracey Taylor of Midland, Texas, Tanner Lloyd of Rocky Ridge, Md., and Sebastian Mireles of Camarillo, Calif.; brother, Frank Taylor of Albany, N.Y. and numerous other relatives and friends.
 
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012 at 11 a.m., at Trinity of the Hill Church in Los Alamos.
 
The family of John W. Taylor has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
