Obituary: Frank Wilhelm Bobrowicz Dec. 12, 1943 – April 1, 2023

FRANK WILHELM BOBROWICZ  Dec. 12,1943 – April 1, 2023

Frank Wilhelm Bobrowicz, 79, of White Rock, NM, passed away on April 1, 2023, with loved ones by his side, after a difficult but well-fought battle with COPD.

Frank was born on December 12, 1943 to Frank and Theresa in Newark, New Jersey. After Frank graduated from Barringer High School in 1962, he then went on to pursue a degree in computer science at Seton Hall University and attended graduate school at Caltech.

After moving often and working at previous national labs, Frank found his way to Los Alamos National Laboratory where he worked for 23 years as a computer scientist till he retired. He enjoyed his job, and the people he had the pleasure of working with.

He met the love of his life Patricia Oshman, and they wed in 1964, going on to have four daughters, Patti, Stephanie, Jennifer, and Heather.

When the days were warm you could always find Frank out working in his yard, planting flowers at the house he lived in for 41 years. When the days got colder, he would be down in his shed building various projects out of wood or doing some kind of home improvements around the house. As December approached, you would find Frank outside meticulously putting up his Christmas lights for everyone to enjoy.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Theresa Bobrowicz, his brother David Bobrowicz, his daughter Patti Johanson, and granddaughter Megan Dugan.

He is survived by his loving wife Pat, his children Stephanie Miller (Clint), Jennifer Dugan (Tim), Heather Bobrowicz (Carl), and son-in-law Chris Johanson. He is also survived by his grandchildren Cory and Sammi Miller, Dillon (Natalie), Travis, Matt, Emily, Jason, and Kelsey Dugan. He also leaves behind his beloved cat, Callie.

His family would like to thank the Los Alamos Fire Department and Los Alamos Medical Center for showing kindness and compassion when he needed it the most.

Frank loved animals and would leave no-stray uncared for, so in honor of his life please consider a donation to the Los Alamos Animal Shelter.
