ETHEL MARY (KEHOE) KACHELMEIER Jan. 7, 1918 – Dec. 6, 2015

Ethel Mary (Kehoe) Kachelmeier, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, died peacefully of natural causes in her bed at a care home in Mesa, Arizona on Dec. 6, 2015 at the age of 97.

Ethel was born on January 7, 1918 in Watertown, Wisconsin. She lived in Los Alamos from 1954 to 1990 with her husband, the late Ladislaus (Laddie) Kachelmeier.

Ethel is survived by her first son, David of Los Alamos, his wife Virginia, and grandson Brian of Los Alamos, his wife Andi, and their children Luke, Caitlyn, Madison, and Abby, grandson Alan of Albuquerque, his wife Julie, and their children Lexi and Hunter, and grandson Mark of St. Joseph, Missouri. Ethel is also survived by her second son, Steven of Austin, Texas, his wife Paula, and granddaughter Karen Robertson of Cedar Park, Texas and her husband Patrick, granddaughter Nicole of Austin, and granddaughter Sara of Austin. Ethel’s two surviving siblings are Jane Boyink of Mesa, Arizona and Dennis Kehoe of Little Prairie, Wisconsin.

Special family thanks go out to Ethel’s beloved nephew, Kim Boyink of Mesa, Arizona, who did so much to help and comfort Ethel in her final years. Ethel was a loving, caring person, and she will be missed by many, with the comfort that she now enters into God’s graces. The cremains will be laid to eternal rest at Guaje Pines Cemetery in Los Alamos, adjacent to her husband.
