ERIC MILFRED ‘NANI’ VALDEZ Nov. 16, 2020

Eric Milfred “Nani” Valdez, 59, a resident of Española, NM formerly of La Villita joined his parents in paradise on November 16, 2020.

Eric was a loving, caring, and helpful man. He was willing to help anyone who needed assistance. He could fix almost anything mechanical. He enjoyed working for Shannon Corporation in Los Alamos for over twenty years. He could often be seen driving the white truck to work on various properties around Town. His easy laugh and deep knowledge of mechanics and construction endeared him to those who knew him. 

He enjoyed working on his garden, cooking for his family, fishing, making people laugh and spending time with his nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Viola Valdez, his brother Floyd Valdez Jr. and nephew Chris Vigil.

He is survived by his siblings Benicio Valdez (Ruby) of Alcalde, Joann Salazar (Erineo) of Velarde, Hilda Vigil (Michael) of Española, Doris Palomares (Jose) of Española who was like a second mother to him; she took him under her wing, Mary Camargo (Arturo) of Española, Raymond Valdez (Tracy) of Española, Brenda Moreno (Miguel) of Española and Juanita Valdez of Española. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nephews, great nieces and many other relatives who he loved dearly. 

Serving as pallbearers are Doris and Andrew Palomares. Honorary pallbearers are all of his nieces, nephews, great nephews and great nieces.
