DORIS JEAN (GRAHAM) PATTILLO March 15, 2017 – July 11,1926
Doris Jean (Graham) Pattillo died on March 15, 2017 following a brief illness. She was born July 11,1926 in McKinney,TX. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James Albert Pattillo II (Greenville,TX), who died in Los Alamos on July 31, 2003.
She is survived by her two sons: James A. Pattillo III (Toledo,OH) and Stevan G. Pattillo (Jemez Springs,NM), grand children: Heather J. Pattillo (Portland,OR), Jessica L. Pattillo (Portland,OR), Margaret Z. Pattillo (New York City,New York). great-grand children: Forrest Pattillo (Toledo,OH), Ivy Herold (Toledo, OH), great-great grandson Dalyn Pattillo (Toledo,OH), and Nephew Asa Farrell (Van Alstyne,TX).
Doris was a private person who had a wide circle of acquaintances and a few close friends. She valued her close friends and outlived most of them; this was a point of sadness for her. She lived during interesting times. Doris and James traveled extensively within the US. She grew and matured during a period when being at once a wife, a housewife, and a mother was considered a laudable profession. Her marriage and her family were her proudest achievements. Doris will be interred alongside James at Guaje Pines in the near future. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Planned Parenthood.
