ELIZABETH SOUDER Feb. 17, 1927 – Feb. 13, 2018

Elizabeth (Betty) was born to Dorothy and Clarkson Long, MD in Detroit, MI, February 17, 1927.

Her sister Jean Conklin preceded her in death. Betty graduated from public school with honors and the Science Award.

Betty married Richard Souder (died 1989) in 1952. Together they had two daughters who have families: Diane Souder of Albuquerque NM, Planner and Ranger at Petroglyph National Monument married to Jim Graf with daughters Emily and Rachel; and Lori Souder of South Hadley MA, United Church of Christ Minister, married to Winston Baldwin

Eden Joy Weinbrecht, 40, was guided to Heaven by angels Monday, February 12, 2018.

She was a lifelong resident of Los Alamos; the daughter of Kama Michel and John Fredrick Weinbrecht.

Eden was a dedicated employee of Los Alamos National Bank for 19 years where she was promoted to Marketing Coordinator. She was responsible for planning various community events in Los Alamos including ScienceFest, ChamberFest, WinterFest Light Parade and LANB Night of the Gordon’s Summer Concert Series.

HOMER DICK LEWIS Oct. 4, 1926 – Feb. 3, 2018

Homer Dick Lewis, 91, a resident of White Rock, passed away in his home on Saturday, February 3, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Margie Lewis, who passed in 2009.

Homer was born October 4, 1926 in Covington, Kentucky. He served in the United States Navy and then in the United States Air Force Reserve.

Homer and his family moved to Los Alamos in 1952 where he worked at LANL as a metallurgical engineer until his retirement in 1986; he then continued to consult for LANL until 1994.

Clo Loree Mingo, Ph.D. drew her last breath on January 18, 2018 at 12:28 p.m. With family and friends by her side, she was calm by the crackling fireplace in her home of over 50 years in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Born Clo Ann Sjolander February 16, 1938, in Holmen, Wisconsin, Clo brought untold skills and mettle inherent to her home on the farm, to University of Wisconsin (B.A., English), to New Mexico. After some years in Los Alamos with husband Thomas Robert Loree, she settled in El Rancho, single with three small children.

DAVID CARLSON Oct. 7, 1944 Feb. 5, 2018

David Carlson, age 73, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his Samoyed dogs and his wife and best friend of over 30 years, Mary. 

He is also survived by his daughters Decol Lyn Carlson and Mica Tyler; he loved both very much. Near to his heart were his two stepchildren who he helped raise - Jessica Callico (spouse Brian) and K. Perry Rutherford (spouse Becky) and his much loved grandchildren Haley, Joe, Tyson, and Camryn Callico, Christopher Rutherford and Aidan Monteith.
