COUNTY News:
The Northern Pueblos Regional Transportation Planning Organization (NPRTPO) is seeking, through an online survey, public input on transportation issues and opportunities in Los Alamos County, Rio Ariba County, Santa Fe County and Taos County to help guide development of its long-range Regional Transportation Plan update.
Access the short survey here: https://forms.gle/eTUDigk3uqUJrypW9.
The NPRTPO is the designated regional transportation planning agency for the four-county area of Los Alamos, Rio Arriba, Santa Fe and Taos counties. Its membership consists of elected officials and designated alternatives from municipalities, counties and tribes.
More information about the NPRTPO can be found at: https://www.rtponm.org/northern-pueblos.
The NPRTPO is in the process of developing an update to the regions Regional Transportation Plan (Click Here to view the current plan). The long-range plan assesses transportation needs and identifies projects that could potentially be implemented using federal, state and local funds that are reasonably expected to be available over a 20-year (or longer) period.
Each RTPO is expected to develop and maintain its RTP in cooperation with New Mexico Department of Transportation, consistent with the socioeconomic projections, travel demand forecasts, scenario testing, revenue projections, prioritization process, evaluation criteria and performance measures established in the NMDOT Long-Range Statewide Transportation Plan (LRSTP).
