Northern Alliance Soccer Action In Santa Fe

The Girls U13/14 LAFC Lightning played the Boys U15 SF Jaggers team to a 4-4 draw in Santa Fe and after falling behind 4-1, the Lightning stormed back with two goals from Brooke Belyeu sandwiched around an own goal from the Jaggers.
 
Jennie Gao was stellar, constantly breaking down the defense with aggressive runs, timely passing, and a very nice opening goal over the keeper to the far post. Katherine Fanning again dominated the back line to keep the Jaggers at bay. Robin Chartrand played aggressively and challenged balls to provide the Lightning team repeated scoring opportunities.
 
In Boys U13/14/15 action, the LAFC Chaos worked hard to hold off a large and aggressive SF Marco team, but ultimately lost 5-3 in White Rock. After going down 2 goals, Beck Ellis scored for the Chaos, followed by a Lars Olso goal off an assist from Shawn Newman. SF Marco scored two more goals, after which Wakei Hettinga got a clear shot off a loose ball and pulled the Chaos to within one goal. SF Marco Defensive center-back Hettinga had a strong defensive game and pushed the ball forward well.
In Santa Fe, the Boys U11/U12 LAFC boys were 3-1 winners over the SF Hutton Meyers. LA fell behind on a penalty given for an unlucky handball. However, LA raised their game after that, with Thor Olso equalizing with a clever flick direct from a corner-kick. Olso scored two further goals to seal the game for LA. Brian Han was strong on defense and GK Ryan Sood made some important saves late in the game. Daniel Kim and Akshay Swaminarayan also worked hard in midfield to help LA dominate the second half.
 
The Girls U11/12 LAFC Lightning moved the ball well, passing and setting up opportunities for shots against the SF Girls U10 Academy team. Meredith Brown and Sarah Newman played well in goal. The girls won 4-0 with a hat trick from Marlee Katko, who played a hard game and got herself open for the shots. Nora Johnson connected for the fourth goal with a nice left footed shot that sailed into the upper corner.
 
In Boys U10 action, the LAFC White Lasers tied the SF Brannen 5-5 in Santa Fe. After going down 3-0, the White Lasers stormed back with 3 goals from James Ito and one apiece from Hayden Watkins and Tyron Pietryga. Cam McDonald starred on defense with a high intensity performance. In Los Alamos, the LAFC Green Lasers beat the SF Johansen 5-3. Max Olso, Z Gartz, Linnhtet Htoon, Michael Witkowski, and Brendan French each scored goals, with strong goalie play by Taelin Stanfield.
