NNMCAB Holds Board Election, Talk On Material Disposal Area C; Updates From Hintze, NMED July 25


Members of the Northern New Mexico Citizens’ Advisory Board are scheduled to elect a new chair and vice chair for FY-2019 during a meeting 1- 5:15 p.m., July 25 in the Jemez Complex at Santa Fe Community College, 6401 Richards Ave., in Santa Fe.

Also on the agenda is a presentation on Material Disposal Area C at Los Alamos National Laboratory and an overview of the aggregate areas. In addition, there will be agency updates from Doug Hintze, manager of the Environmental Management-Los Alamos Field Office and John Kieling of the New Mexico Environment Department. 

The Northern New Mexico Citizens’ Advisory Board is a Site Specific Advisory Board to the Department of Energy. The board is comprised of stakeholders from across northern New Mexico who work collaboratively on recommendations to the DOE regarding environmental remediation of legacy waste at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
