NMFO Announces ‘DUST’ To Begin Filming In New Mexico

SANTA FE — New Mexico State Film Office Director Amber Dodson has announced that Searchlight Pictures “DUST” starring Sarah Paulson (“Run”, “Glass”, “American Horror Story”) will begin principal photography in August, in and around Stanley, Santa Fe and Galisteo.

Directed by Will Joines and Karrie Crouse from a script by Crouse, the film also stars Annaleigh Ashford (“Master of Sex”, “Bad Education”) and is produced by Alix Madigan and Lucas Joaquin. SVP, Acquisitions & Production Chan Phung, Director of Development Zahra Phillips and Creative Affairs Manager Daejione Jones are overseeing for Searchlight Pictures, reporting to Heads of Production and Development DanTram Nguyen and Katie Goodson-Thomas.

Trapped by increasingly perilous dust storms, “DUST” follows a mother haunted by her past who encounters a threatening presence and takes extraordinary measures to protect her family.

The production will employ approximately 152 New Mexico crew members and 153 New Mexico background talent.
