NMDVR News:
SANTA FE — The New Mexico Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (NMDVR) has announced the launch of their new website designed to provide the public with accessible, up-to-date information about programs, services, policies, announcements and events for New Mexicans with disabilities.
Visitors can find NMDVR’s website at https://www.dvr.state.nm.us/
“We are thrilled to share our new website with our participants, their families, agency partners and other members of the community devoted to supporting New Mexicans with disabilities eager to secure employment,” NMDVR CIO Robert Alirez said.
This updated, user-friendly site is the result of more than six months of careful planning and collaboration between NMDVR’s IT team, program managers and Albuquerque-based digital and design agency Simply Design.
“After assessing the many shortcomings of our current website from a participant’s perspective, we decided to undergo a major overhaul of the website,” Field Operations Director Rudy Grano said. “It is imperative that participants, potential participants, and community members can easily access resources, information, and virtual gateways to services with minimal effort.”
In addition to an updated layout, other new features include:
- Proper usage of color for ADA compliance;
- The website incorporates engaging animation to create better communication to their viewers;
- Better accessibility to referral application;
- Search functionality;
- Font resizer;
- New videos highlighting their programs;
- Events section;
- Language selection feature; and
- New “Meet Our Leadership” page.
